My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips. Psalm 63:5

Keep me as the apple or Your eye, hide me in the shadow of Your wings. Psalm 17:8

Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. Isaiah 55:2

Dear Friends,

So here’s some highlights of what we’ve seen our crucified, risen Lord doing this week in our own hearts and in this ministry.

First, we continue to camp in, memorize, and pray Psalm 63. We recite what we have memorized as a launch pad into our morning prayers, and throughout the day. Try it. He has us going through it in a relaxed pace, yet carefully. I am up through verse 5. It’s thick, rich, and nourishing to be with Him in such a simple way. Thank You Jesus.

Second, at our family gathering on Easter, Kim and I huddled briefly in prayer with our adult children and their spouses. We laid hands upon each other and prayed out for each other. Daughter Emily prayed out that I would minister afresh with the “Sword of the Spirit”, the Word of God, in ever deeper ways of this new season of my life. I immediately saw the Lord unfold this Tuesday as I saw a prayer request text, prayed immediately, swiftly saw Psalm 17 in my mind, and immediately phoned the individual. We then walked through the Psalm together over the phone, and the Lord moved. Thank You Jesus.

Third, He gave me the following word for a couple and their extended family. After we shared this with them and they received it gladly, the Lord has greenlighted this word to be submitted to the friends of Come Rest. It’s really a commanded, intimate challenge from Him to all of us—for the next six months. He knows how He wants things to be between you and Him six months from now. He wants to begin with you and me now. Have deep joy with this “Home-work” with Him. Share with us how it’s going. We’re here to help, even as we do this ourselves. More importantly, He’s with you to help 24/7!

A Word of Counsel heard 4/7/26. We submit it to all the friends of Come Rest testing and application.

“Listen to Me. Really listen. Shut out the noise. Tune in to Me. Prepare. Make a list of your 12 favorite scripture passages from over the years between you and Me. Do the work. Make the list. Memorize them over the next six months. Work My words into your prayers and your witness each new day I give you. I will help you. You will become a deeper listener, prayer intercessor, and doer of My word. Are you up to it? I am! I repeat–Listen to Me. Prepare. Do the work. I will help you. It will be worth it. My joy and peace will overflow, no matter what. Those around you will begin to listen, too. I love you so.” (Is 55; Ps 34; John 10 & 15)
