Work continues on our next two books. Please pray. After having written 3 books over the years, we feel the “familiar weight” of His Yoke, His guiding arm on our shoulders; that 2026 will bring our next published book, Plumb Crazy, on plumbline living with Jesus. We are seeking Him about getting away in January or, at least, withdrawing for 2 weeks to focus exclusively on my writing and Kim’s editing—to take a leap forward. Next year will probably include a few of these 2 week-chunk getaways. We had to do this for each of the previous books.

Kim and I have begun memorizing afresh the prologue of John vs 1:1-14 between now and Christmas. We’vehave invited our Speight/Spinden kids and grandkids to join us in a little friendly competition if they feel so led. 10 year-old Grandson Caleb immediately asked his mother Emily to text me, “Where are you going to get all the gold, silver, and bronze for when I win?” Love it. I texted back, “Tell Caleb he better bring his A-game!” Are any of you game? I can’t promise precious metals, but Jesus offers precious Intimacy and Majesty. Real
