Dear National and Local friends,
We are slowly, but steadily recovering from a winter and spring of fighting viruses. Several in our local ministry and family have struggled as have many of you. We treasure your prayers even as we pray fresh life abundant over your households, in Jesus’ name! Several friends nationally and locally have various serious prayer concerns for their loved ones. Please join us in prayer, “Thank You Jesus for helping us be with You, rest on Your chest, and enjoy You even as You lead us step by step through all the challenges and joys of life Jesus, You are my life, my all, my everything!”
Kim and I have been led to dig into Galatians this week. Join us. There’s more to say, but Chapter One blares the trumpet that the true simple gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that brings life, the only thing worth living for. Here it is—Jesus Christ, fully God and fully Man, made the one all-sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world, such that any one who truly believes in Him will not perish but have life everlasting!” That’s it! We are saved by His Grace through faith, not by our works, lest any man should boast. The spirit of anit-christ is always behind every malicious and well-intentioned effort to get the Church off plumbline declaration and living of His live-giving good news. In this regard, you might want to read Chapter 9 in my book COME UP entitled, Unmistakeable.
By the way, like a little blue bell or baby’s breath breaking through the soil, I celebrate the Lord has helped me, even is my recent physical weakness—to resume writing again on the next book on plumbline living. Writing is becoming a joy again and I thank you for your continued prayers.
Just got into Galatians 2 for a first pass this morning. Of course verse 20 is one of my “go to’s”. I memorized it several years ago. When the Lord knows I need his help to get out of His way with anything or anyone, He will bring this back to my mind. Also, it’s also a centering, fire-up prayer I also employ after I have completed my laps and stretches before I play raquetball every MWF morning. It’s also a prayer I often pray to humble myself before the Lord before I minister or relate to strangers, family, or friends. Try it. You’ll like it.
Nothing clears the air better than praying Galatians 2:20! “Lord, Your word says—I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me. Therefore, this life I live in the body I no longer live for myself, but by faith in You, the Son of God, who loved me and gave Yourself for me! Amen!” AMEN.
